Now, video processing technology has been widely used in intelligent transportation, automotive electronics, multimedia network communication, real-time monitoring system, high definition television, etc. However, as the video image format are numerous, each video can be divided into many formats,and each kind of video formats has different video interface, each video interface also tend to receive only certain kinds of video signal. This paper introduces a design of video and audio processing system which is based on powerful image processor GF9452, high performance codec and decoder and FPGA.This paper firstly introduces some basic knowledge of video and video processing methods. Secondly, this thesis analyzes the selection of the key chip s and the principle of important circuit design, and the design of power, clock, reset, memory and interface circuit is mainly discussed. Thirdly, the PCB design according to the requirement for signal integrity and power integrity is introduced, and mainly introduces the stack and impedance design, timing control and power PDN design. Finally, this paper introduces the process of functio nal test, performance test and reliability test.The test results show that the indexes of the equipment meet the admission requirements. The HDMI signal has sufficient "eye opening degree", clock jitter is less than 0.25 Tbit, the clock duty cycle is 48%, rise / fall time is 100 ps, the overshoot / undershoot is less than 15%, differences between pairs of deviation is less than 0.15*Tbit; the amplitude of CVBS signal and S_Video signal is about 700 mV, the SNR is larger than 56 d B; the maximum voltage of RGB signal to 700mV; white amplitude of the Y signal is 710 mV, the amplitude of synchronization signal and PbPr signal is 350 mV, the channel’s SNR is greater than 56 dB. In addition, the equipment can work well in the condition of high/low temperature storage, high/low temperature cycle, high temperature and high humidity; the equipment meet the requirement of level B when do EMC test according to the national standards and industry standards.The equipment has good stability and compatibility, the design has been applied to the system which supports all common format, common resolution and 4K resolution.
