To face intense competition in the market, a new product is required from design to markettime as short as possible. Many products have 80% of development time is spent on high-speedPrinted circuit board(PCB) design to solve signal integrity (SI) issues, that is why the signalintegrity problem attracts more and more attention recently. In PCB design, using of accurate signalintegrity model and correct the simulation analysis method, let errors reflected in the pre-production,then engineers can be promptly corrected. Thus can shorten the development cycle, reducedevelopment costs.Nowadays, SI has become inevitable problems to electronic designer. Only use the right designrules, advanced technology and accurate simulation analysis tools, complete system design moreefficiently. Therefore, studying theories of signal integrity and designing high-speed PCB withEDA simulation tools ,will be very important and practical.This paper try to use existing theories as a guide, discussion and analysis of the correctunderstanding of the concepts and theories, and finish a PCB design. Using the Ansoft simulationtools for theoretical modeling,to complete a complex high-speed simulation of PCB board withmainstream PCB design flow. By theoretical analysis, using the simulation tools and designing PCBin practice, this paper will provide a more complete and precise actual simulation flow. Help us todraw the PCB, what can meet the performance requirements.This paper focuses on the content of the following areas:1) By simulation,help us understanding relevant knowledge and experience correctly and getconstraint rules.2) The signal integrity of the high speed circuit is analysed. Took Altrea Stratix IV-GX FPGAand Micron DDR2-800 high speed bus as an example, and provided a complete and accuratesimulation method.3) Power integrity and signal integrity are combined . Discussed and simulated simultaneouslyswitching noise (SSN), and would integrate with the practical PCB design, let the simulation resultsmore reliable and credible.
