With the development of science and technology, the electronic devices are becoming more and more complex. With the increasing of equipment demand, manual testing can’t meet the growing demand for testing, Automatic test technology has been rapid development, Automatic test technology has been rapid development. With the rapid development of information technology, the electronic product changes faster and faster, so the requirements of test software changes more and more quickly. Because poor generality of the automatic test system, resulting in More and more test software has been recreated because of poor generality of the automatic test system. It improves the cost of product development.In order to solve these problems, American proposes automated test generation technology in 1996.Then the bus and interface technology, instrument driver technology and the method of designing software was got fast-developing. Design reuse can shorten the product development cycle, it plays an important role in enhancing the competitiveness of products. People are paying more and more attention to the versatility of automatic test software.In order to enhance the universality and adaptability of automatic test software,this paper studies the instrument bus control technology, instrument driver technology, software development technology based on signal, database technology.Database technology is an important software technology, after decades of development, database technology plays a more and more important role in software engineering, such as various applications, the scalability of the software, reuse of data.With the actual needs of frequency measurement receiver test,This paper analyzes the requirements of test software, describes the elements of test. This paper focuses common software test techniques and put forward three solutions to the problem of test software reuse. The first method is to reduce the change of requirements by standardizing. Secondly, the modularized structure is used in the design of test software. It can enhance the independence of modules, and thus reduce the influence brought by the change of requirements. At last, we can manage the change of requirements by configuring.On the basis of study of relevant techniques for automatic testing, this paper carried out the overall design of the automatic test software. It adopted the design method of signal-oriented. It have completed the design of signaling model. It set the SCPI command to map to the excitation signal. In this paper, database technique is applied in order to manage the change of requirements. Finally,it completed the design of a frequency measurement receiver automatic test software. The software can be used in general and manage the Configuration item, it can reduce the redesign works.
