Through the analysis of the various factors affecting the configuration management and on this basis, developing configuration management strategy and methods of tool option are obtained in this article, which contains establishing configuration management strategy and choosing configuration management tools for specified team to maximize the effectiveness of the configuration management.Software configuration management is a set of technology during the entire software life cycle. Its main function is to control software changes in the software life cycle by reducing the impact of such changes and to ensure the quality of the software product. Currently there is a systematic summary of configuration management, but because of specialty of configuration management in the software development process, the management cannot be improved but even worse with the improper application of software configuration management, causing some negative impact on software development process.To solve the problem with the interaction between configuration management and the process of software development, summarize the factors that would impact the configuration management and how these factors impact it. A set of methods to establish a configuration management system cover the all software lifecycle which is obtained and proved to a reliable method by achieving good results. Specially a set of method to establish a configuration management system cover database versions, and then enlarged the software configuration management fields.I did some research of database code version control and established a solution for database code version control in this article.
