| Construction of health informatization has been with us for over a decade since the beginning of the new century in China, and there are lots of remarkable results about it. However, the process of health informatization has produced overwhelming complexity to health information systems. We have to make such huge efforts to achieve the interoperability and seamless integration of legacy and new medical systems. A set of national standards related to health information have been developed and announced by China’s Ministry of Health, with an aim to achieve information exchange between different information systems in the hospital. It is no longer enough merely to share information by way of a unified standard or rule, which require standardization of information exchange and representation.The major theme of this research was to develop a range of HL7 V3 messages and CDA documents for sharing information between heterogeneous systems. The study established in national data standards such as the “health data element dictionaryâ€, “value domain of health data elementâ€, “basic dataset of Electronic Health Recordâ€, took the international HL7 standard as a starting point, put forward a method to combine international standard HL7 V3 message and HL7 V3 CDA with National standards related to health information. The primary contents of this study as following:1. International HL7 V3 standard system was researched in detail, focusing on analyzing the structure of HL7 V3 messages and the CDA document structure.2. After an in-depth analysis of national health information standards, establishing standardized data dictionary bank, in which there is a hierarchy structure of datasets, data element, value domain code and these are applied to bi-directional transformation process between standard and non-standard data in integration platform.3. Drawing on international advanced experience in the area of system integration, designed a integration platform based on HL7 V3, which used to achieve information interaction.4. Based on analysis results of the structure of HL7 V3 messages and the CDA document structure, a set of message templates and CDA templates were created manually.5. Using XPath syntax and DOM programming, combined with data elements to build and parse HL7 V3 messages and CDA documents.6. With the support of compliance test program based on health information standards, using the implementation techniques of integrated platform as the core to design and realize conformance test system of health information standard, with the result that integrated platform became a significant part of conformance test system of health information standard.The subject used standardization as a starting point, and applied nowadays popularity Web Service, designed a open scalable integration platform, which guaranteed the unification of format and contents in information exchange process. |
