Research Of Service Oriented Medical Application Integration Platform

More and more people focus on Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) technology. EAI becomes a hard problem for enterprise to face and to resolve, while more and more information systems are used but few can meet the challenge of frequent update in business process. Application System in Medical institutions were developed and implemented separately before years, they became many separate "information island ". The original systems can't meet the need for modern management, automatic business implement and information sharing in hospital, they bottleneck the efforts to develop modern information system. EAI can offer seamless Integration over different application systems, implement process and share information just like a whole system by assembling business Process,application software,hardware and various standards together.This paper analysis's traditional integration scheme, research new integration technology e.g.: XML, EAI, Web Service, Middleware and Business Process etc, also talk about international standards and rules like HL7, DICOM and IHE, BDSS; design a Cross-Platform, Cross-Department EAI frame based on XML web service and business process management (BPM). This paper also analysises the medical business process in hospital.In this paper, we use service oriented technology to construct a loose-coupling enterprise application environment. We envelop the server end of original application system as web service on application level, and add application integrate object to the client end. The application integrate platform can assemble and re-deliver ex-message to each query service. When the service requesters call web service, they lookup the services description then bind the call to service provider, call the web service to exchange information with service provider. Thus they can integrate the information from different platform. As a example, this paper integrates LIS and HIS on medical integrate Platform.
