As society progresses, the economy continue to develop, transport vehicles more and more, which brought police work great pressure. Improve the internal management of the traffic police team level has become increasingly important. Performance appraisal is the daily management of the traffic police force is an important content. The traditional way of performance appraisal because of its own shortcomings, has been difficult to adapt to the needs of the daily management of the traffic police team. In this paper, the actual needs of the traffic police force, and use of object-oriented software design, design and implementation of a performance appraisal system on of the traffic police team based on B / S structure. The main work includes the following aspects:(1) In this paper, the actual traffic police team conducted research to understand the current performance appraisal methods and approaches, summarizes the existing problems and proposed using of information technology tools to manage the performance appraisal. Then the paper expatiates the research situation at home and abroad, and understanding the development situation at home and abroad of the system. The thesis and the research route are described at last.(2) The theory and key technology of the use of the development were introduced, including performance appraisal theory, SQL Server technology, B/S structure and UML.(3) Requirements are been analyzed from two aspects of functionality and feasibility, and give the use case model of the traffic police team performance appraisal system. And the feasibility of the system was discussed, including the economic feasibility, technical feasibility and operational feasibility.(4) System architecture has been designed, and the workflow of performance appraisal is been given. Then the function of the system and the database has been designed, which turned the system logic model into a physical model.The traffic police team performance appraisal management system is mainly divided into the following several modules: system management module, data management module, examination configuration module, examination module, score management module and result analysis module.(5) Using the Visual Studio 2005 development environment and SQL Server 2005 database, the system’s functions were implemented and tested. After tests showed that the traffic police team performance appraisal system meets the actual needs of the traffic police team.After application of the system, not only can improve the fairness and impartiality of performance appraisal, but also can improve the accuracy of performance appraisal, improve the work efficiency of the traffic police force, and increase the responsibility of police officers, so that the traffic police teams will server the community more and better.
