With the rapid development of information technology (IT), the Internet has become one of the most important tools in everyone’s daily life.During the development of the Mobile Internet, the online mobile games have gradually become one of the main entertainments for people in their spare time. In a recent report, the online mobile games have exceeded the web games in revenues to become a major entertainment. In order to meet the needs of different player groups, a variety of online games have emerged.The female players in the online mobile game markets are expanding rapidly, while the majority of current research and mobile games often overlooked the group of female players. Therefore the research of the mobile game design for female players is particularly important. In this thesis, we design an online mobile game by analyzing the female emotional characteristics and combining the main features of several famous mobile games in the APP. Before designing the mobile game, we have done a lot of market research on the female players and divide the female players into three groups with different characteristics. The biggest group is selected among the three groups. This group is the main player group on which our new game design will focus. The game design combines the visceral, behavioral and reflective levels of the female players: the visceral level focuses on the art design and colors of the mobile game; the behavioral level focuses on the functionality, understandability, and operation of mobile game; the reflective level focuses on the game’s reality and Interactivity with external players, which make the game enter players’emotional worlds. In the final game design and development, we invite qualified than female players to participate in product usability testing. The results of the test can reflect the flaws of the game design flaws and improve future version of this game.This thesis is divided into 8 chapters. Chapters 1-3 introduce the research background, female emotional characteristics analysis and online mobile game design overview respectively. Chapters 4-6 introduce the demand for female players and our online mobile game design. In Chapter 7, we invite qualified female players to participate in product usability testing.
