With the rapid development of Mobile Internet and the high popularity of smartphone, mobile phone games dominate around half of mobile entertainment market,and the mobile player experience(MUX) has become a key factor determining the high user viscosity with mobile game. First based on the theory of MUX, analyzing the difference and relationship between user experience(UX) and MUX, and studying relevant research results at home and abroad, influence factors of MUX have been analyzed and the demand model of mobile players has been put forward. And then using the method of questionnaire, one isometric attitude measure scale of mobile player motivation and one frequency scale measuring player's behavior and game context have been designed, and there are 306 valid samples for the former one, and 237 for the latter.The data collected has been analyzed relying on factor analysis, correlation analysis,reliability analysis and other methods, by SPSS statistic software. Then, the mobile players demand model has been established.Major findings and conclusions are as follows: the different characteristics between the mobile Internet and the Internet in PC have led to different user experience--diverse users, disparate game context and different experience. And MUX is part of UX. The model contained three dimensions: player, game context and the game itself. In the first dimension--player, a mobile player motivation model is established, and player characteristics and preferences are obtained. Mobile player motivation model includes four factors: achievement, social, game content motivating, and escapism. Player characteristics include demographic characteristics such as age, culture level. Player preferences include: 1) favorite game type, 2) social influence, and 3) the past game experience. In the second dimension--game context, the influences include: time and space.In the last dimension—game itself, the influences include: 1) rules, 2) operation, 3) visual design, and 4) object. The first two tend to lead to the last one. The player game motivation, characteristics and his game context, decide how to design the game content and mechanics.Finally, based on the first two dimensions of mobile games demand model, MDA analysis method is used: by the user's gaming experience/emotional(Aesthetics), the gamewill be derived and determine the game behavior(Dynamics), so as to plan the game Mechanics(Mechanics). Taking the mobile game design of King Gesar as a practical case,the theory has been applied to practice. This paper aims at digging a design method of mobile phone game based on MUX, and providing an important reference for related mobile game design.
