This paper is aimed to explore, study and elaborate the phenomenon of habitual questioning in the environment of internet public opinion in China. It has studied the different dimensions of habitual questioning, such as the degree of ubiquity, the objects and incidents that are vulnerable to be habitual questioned, the causes of this phenomenon and the measures that we can take and so on. 161 pieces of news(non-pure entertainment news) are selected from the daily hits ranking lists in Sina News during June 15 th to July 15 th, 2013, as the models to make quantitative and qualitative analysis on the objects and contents of habitual questioning. 3 cases of news are picked up at random around this time that we selected as to make text analysis on the contents of the commentators and the followers and we try to figure out the types of habitual questioning. In this paper we find out habitual questioning is a very common phenomenon in the environment of internet public opinion in China.The objects of the habitual questioning are mostly governments and officials. The contents of the habitual questioning are mostly related to corruption, judicial fairness and social security. And we find out the reasons that cause this phenomenon is related to the netizens, governments and our society.
