Current Ideological and Political Education communication is a specialspreading activity,for Ideological and Political Education communication is full of“politics” and “thoughtful”. Nowadays, the effect of Ideological and PoliticalEducation communication is less than encouraging. The reason, it turned out, was thatsome serious questions persist in the current Ideological and Political Educationcommunication. For example, the dissemination of the Ideological and PoliticalEducation communication contents is difficult to enter the brain and heart of theaudience; some disseminate of Ideological and Political Education communicationlack of the consciousness of responsibility; the means of dissemination are formalized;the individuality of Ideological and Political Education communication audience werestripped partially. The existence of these problems threatened the function and valueof Ideological and Political Education communication. Therefore, optimizing thedissemination of current Ideological and Political Education communication isimperative. Compared with the foreboding dissemination of current Ideological andPolitical Education communication, the Marxism dissemination of May fourth isundoubtedly got a great success. And just because the Marxism’s successfullyspreading in May fourth period, China Revolution got a new start point. Reviewingthe progress of Marxism dissemination of May fourth period, we can find the successof Marxism dissemination of May fourth period mainly lie in “four combination”.They are the combination of theory and practice; the combination of intellectual andthe masses; the combination of multiple modes of transmission; and combination ofideas and ideas.Although, the current Ideological and Political Education communication and theMarxism communication of May fourth period belongs to different periods, but with the perspective of Communication Studies do a comparative research is desirable.This paper mainly used literature researching method, historical comparison method,abstract methods and some other methods to analysis those two differentcommunication behaviors. The goal was to mining the reference value of the Marxismcommunication of May fourth period to optimizing the effect of current Ideologicaland Political Education communication. At the end of this paper, there are fourcountermeasures that based on the experience of the Marxism communication werebeen given. They are, update the ideas of Ideological and Political Educationcommunication; meeting the reasonable demands of the audience; developing thehighly talents; and use various media flexible.The paper is divided into three parts: The first part is the historical experience ofthe communication of Marxism in the Period of the May Fourth Movement; Thesecond part analyzes some of the practical problems faced by the currentcommunication of ideological and political education; and the third put forward somecountermeasures to optimize effect of the current ideological and political educationbased on the success of Marxism communication in May fourth period.
