With the development of science and technology, wireless sensor network (WSN) technology was born. WSN-technology with the form of the wireless transmission of information, connects all the sensor nodes, which constitutes a self-organizing network. As a new technology method, wireless sensor network technology has the very good application and development space, and the technology can realize acquisition, transmission and processing of data. This article is to explain aquaculture monitoring system based on low power wireless sensor networks.With digital, intelligent control methods used in life commonly, measurement and controlling of water environment temperature, dissolved oxygen, salinity, turbidity, pH and pressure parameters are very important in aquaculture. At present, our country still uses the traditional wired communication mode to realize the acquisition and transmission of data in aquaculture. Wired transmission mode not only has difficulties of construction and maintenance, but also is influenced easily by the environment. The construction has higher cost. It is difficult to have the further development. Therefore using advanced WSN technology takes the place of the traditional method is very necessary.Because of the broadness of WSN aquaculture monitoring system, the system will realize transmission of data by using ZigBee wireless sensor network technology. First, the article tells the background and significance of the research; second, the article introduces design of the whole system; then the article introduces design of system sensor; next, the article explains the design of hardware which is used to display at the scene, that contains the function of data transmission and SD card; then the article tells design of the man-machine interface, including client display, menu operation, keys and so on;finally we have the conclusions after the field test. This article studies deeply ZigBee protocol, and combines it with multiple parameter detecting. And then the building and research of low power wireless sensor networks will be completed. The design uses CC2430wireless micro controller as the core of monitoring instrument. At the same time, a variety of sensor network are completed by ZigBee protocol, and realize acquisition of aquaculture environmental temperature, salinity, turbidity, pH and other parameters, then provide the messages to workers by wireless transmission mode. The system which has worked for a long time is stable and reliable. The system has good development prospect and application.value.
