Implementation Of Driver Software Testing For VCMM Chip

Software testing is an important way to ensure software quality. Along with the unceasing enhancement of the computer performance, software becomes more and more powerful, and the software structure becomes more and more complicated. So the quality of software is more and more difficult to control. Software testing plays an important role in software quality management. Some big domestic and international companies like Microsoft, Huawei hires senior test engineer, to combine manual testing with automated testing, to save manpower cost and time cost. And comprehensive coverage testing technology has become the most widely used method by domestic software companies.This paper focuses on a project of Huawei Technologies and tests VCMM chip driver software, to satisfy three core requirements, including(1)the Italian Fastweb to improve the success rate of data business(2)safe packet capture(3)every country tone can be configured. Firstly, the delivery plan strictly arranges the test plan, including 5 parts: requirement analysis, test design, test execution and test script development, to ensure the test task on schedule. Then according to the control design specification characteristics, the project divides tasks and requirement change. And analyses the implementation principle, different test scenarios in each country, product differentiation, different network testing and characteristics test scenarios, networking testing and the environment. Then analyses and design test cases with the above test results, and combines Impeller-based automation platform with Ruby language development environment automated scripts, and ultimately achieve the company self-developed chip testing more efficient and complete the task.
