As a kind of test equipment,the pulse generation system is used in scientific research, electronic communications and other fields. The accuracy requirements of pulse generation system are getting higher and higher, With the rapid development of science and technology.This dissertation presents the design and implementation of a high-accuracy pulse generation system. In this dissertation, the author design the overall scheme in detail, and select the method of combination of counter and programmable delay line to generate the pulse signal having a large dynamic range and high-precision pulse delay. Through careful analysis of the system requirements, the pulse generating module is designed using the FPGA module design method. The pulse generating module, the driver of ds1124 module and the trigger module is realized by the FPGA hardware logic circuit. The control section is realized by using Nios II, user can control each channel’s pulse signals of the system through the UART or Ethernet, the pulse signal delay, frequency, number and width of each channel’s pulse signals is adjustable.The whole system is tested elaborately and the results showed that the performance of the system is stable and reliable, and the system has reached the design requirements.
