With the development of Integrated Circuit, mobile device has become more dominant. The demands of it’s function improvement become huge. In order to transmit data faster and better, some new data transmission protocols and interfaces are proposed. One of the most popular protocols is MIPI----Mobile Industry Processor Interface. It has both high-speed and low-power features.In this thesis, the design principle is based on MIPI protocol and my company’s specification. The structure includes physical layer, protocol layer and application layer. The physical layer is in charge of detecting and controlling the switch among work modes, and handling the reception and transmission of serial data. The protocol layer is in change of depacking the packets received from phyical layer and to generate control signals for applicaion layer, and packing data for transimission to physical layer. The application layer is in charge of generating control signals to LCD driver IC.The design is implemented by Verilog-2001 Hardware Description Language in RTL level. The testbench is implemented by behavior description. Verification tools are ModelSim and Debussy. The hardware simulation is implemented by Xilinx FPGA development board. The synthesis is implemented by Design compiler.
