For RF performance test is very important to radio regulation, the thesis introduces the development of automatic test technology and analyzes the necessity and good prospects in its application of performance testing, summing up several buses commonly used in current instrument control and their characteristics. On the basis of analysis of the RF performance indicators of CDMA phones, a detailed exposition of the PC-based instrument control software and hardware design and key technologies is done. Then it is brought forward a solution for automatic CDMA phone RF test which connects the test instrument with computer with GPIB interface, LabVIEW graphical programs and API driven by VISA. It uses the instrument to test the DUT, and at the same time, the test instrument communicates with the computer to exchange the test data and the control statement. It is used all of this to form a automatic CDMA phone RF test system by combining theory and practice.According to requirements of national laboratory accreditation, the thesis also evaluates the uncertainty of the automatic test system and verifies the effectiveness of the test. The actual test results meet the design requirements. The system greatly inproves test speed, presision, and working efficiency of radio regulation.
