Automatic Test System which is based on GPIB standard Bus is widely used in manyfileds. Automatic Test System, which integrates data-acquisition, transmission, disposal,becomes the important part of information technology. The latest Automatic Test Systemadopts virtual instrument technology. On the background of designing Automatic TestSystem which is based on virtual instrument technology, the thesis study of design andresearch controller interface which is used in Test System.The design adopt virtual instrument technology in designing the system, Graphiclanguage, LabVIEW is applied in writing measure-control program. It makes use of manyfunctions LabVIEW supply, include Data acquisition, control of GPIB and serials port,data appear, data store etc. And adopt software standard of VISA and SCPI in writingprogram of controlling instrument. According to the necessity of PCI-GPIB controllerinterface module, analyzing the PCI bus, GPIB bus and interface function in detail, thedesign accomplished the function of conversion of protocol, logic control and so on. At lastdiscusses the driver and application design by WinDriver and Visual ++.
