Nowaday, a new type measuring instrument which was representatived by virtual instrument had changed the traditional mode. This new technology which was fully utilized the powerful function of computer software and hardware, deeply contacted the computer technology with the measure technology, merged computer and network technology together had been widely used in test field.This aritlce has applied this new technology in acoustic equipment test to improve the test efficiency .At the beginning of article, the development and research status about the automatic system had been disussed. The third generation automatic system based on virtual instrument of automatic system had been analyzed. Subsequently, the ordinary structure , trait and key technology has been discussed.As for the special test object-hydrophone, the test parameter and adjust method had been compared and analyzed, the article test theory had been selected out and the software algorithm had definitude.The GPIB bus controlled automatic system and the virtual instrument automatic system based on NI PCI-4551 data acquisition card had been constructed. Using the Lab VIEW as the software developing platform for the system, achieved the test process modularize and the function of every part of the system.The test result had also been analyzed in the end. Some analysis also been did on the error dispose and the system stability.Meanwhile, the research had been done in the selection of hardware section, the line joint manner and the factor which may infection the test result and so on. some research had also been done in test data disposing.the repeating test result of the hydrophone has show that the automatic system has high steady and reliable performance.
