Design Of Integrated Service System Of Elderly Based On ARM

Under the background of growing aging of population, the vulnerable population in today’s human society, old persons are getting more and more attention. As their physical ability declines with age, the potential of self-preservation is remarkably limited. They can’t adapt enough at manipulating high tech products. The aged people lacking care especially those diagnosed with certain disease always fail to be rescued and even die without even asking for help. Hence, the design for comprehensive service system for old people is of great usefulness.The system is successfully designed based on the need of old people consisting of S3C6410 equipped with embedded Linux operating system as control center. The system is also combined with Android,Qt,Video Surveillance, Sensors and Mobile Internet Technology.The paper firstly introduces the research background and meaning of the system and then the new function of the service system is proposed according to the analysis of the present research situation. Both the overall design plan and main function modules of the system are stated along with hardware and software structures. Moreover, the construction of the development environment is introduced including host development platform and the embedded Linux Environment. Also the drivers are designed which includes Buzzer driver,DS18B20 Temperature Sensor driver, camera driver and LCD touch screen driver. Hence, the design of the application is completed including both old people client and relative Android client. The functions like call function, electric appliance control function, physical testing function and video monitoring function were functioning properly.The service system features user friendly interface, easy operation and comprehensive function. The service system is highly useful to old people and is very valuable for the development of related products.
