In recent years,with the increasing number of the elderly and the disabled people in our country,the society is facing more and more serious labor shortage problems,which causes tremendous pressure to society and family endowment. With the increasing demand of the elderly wheelchair and other elderly travel tools,the elderly travel safety problem has become a problem which needs to be resolved as soon as possible. At the same time, the function of the intelligent wheelchair which sold on the market is not complete,the intelligent degree is not high and thecontrol mode is poor.And the intelligent wheelchair as a humanoid robot,it will face the general public,so the development direction of the wheelchair’s price is relatively cheep,then the general public can take the wheelchair’s fees.In view of the above problems,the article is on the basisof the existing electric wheelchair and combined with Internet echnology and robot technology, we design a kind of intelligent wheelchair for elderly care. We design FPGA in the intelligent wheelchair as the core processor, which has the characteristics of high speed data processing,and realizes the remote control of the wheelchair by Android smartphone.At the same time the TSI ProPac package is imported into the Mathmatica software in the design to establish the dynamic model of intelligent wheelchair. We calculated the Lyapunov index of the system and analysized the phase trajectory of the system to grasp more about the characteristics of the intelligent wheelchair.Then a certain foundation for the control of intelligent wheelchair foundation can be established.Also, in order to improve the control and monitoring ability of the wheelchair, the intelligent wheelchair integrates the obstacle avoidance module,images acquisition and displays module and the fall in the remote alarm module.In this paper, the intelligent wheelchair designed test results show that its performance is stable and reliable, strong practicability. The intelligent wheelchair is not only a convenient travel of the elderly and disabled,but also can improve the living standard of the elderly and the disabled, so that they can be better integrated into the society and families.
