Design And Implementation Of Document System Based A Unified Process Engine

Workflow is an automatic business process and also a computer implementation of business process. The definition of workflow dates from the area of production organization and automation, aiming at decomposing business and defining a good role. Workflow management system is a kind of software environment which can help implement the workflow process. By using workflow technology, people can standardize enterprise business process, improve efficiency and cut the cost.This paper analyzes the present status of workflow technology and discusses the concept and technology which are relevant to the workflow. On the basis of comparing the Embedded workflow engine with Independent type of workflow engine, the paper proposes the flow engine design, through which people can deploy independently and use unifiedly in Enterprise information architecture. The flow engine, independent of the business system and in the form of cluster mode, adopt Jgroup to carry on the inter group communication and can provide process management service for a number of different business system. It can handle the flow business and other business hierarchically and run the program alone. Meanwhile, it can provide the interface for other application systems to realize the process management service. In this way, WFMS is charge of the area of flow processing function while operation system is responsible for professional business field, which realizes the function of business hierarchical processing and independent maintenance from the physical deployment. What’s more, it can help integrate the enterprise IT resources, cut the cost and improve the efficiency of maintenance. On the basis of unifying process engine, the paper proposes the plan of document management system which realizes to separate the business logic of the official document system and the process engine.Through analyzing the document management business process, this paper designs the document flow model which meets the management requirements. According to this modal, people can finish the data base design, the function module design and the architecture design.This design can help people achieve a number of functions:personal work station, document retrieval, official statistics, business process definition, operation control, the template definition, examples of management, interface management and so on.The whole system realizes to separate the process definition from the process execution, improve the flexibility of the system and solve the problem that diversity and uncertainty of business process have some influence on the system development.
