On The News About Medical Conflicts

The New Medical Reform in China has taken a significant effect. Chinese medical staff, being the backbone of The New Medical Reform, are criticized by the public and media and gradually become a target which the public release their hatred and complaints to Chinese medical system. In recent years, the relationship between doctor and patient that the media focused has become a hot topic, meanwhile the violent medical hurt incidents reported by the media are continuously increasing. Some of the reports have got the justice in the process of doctor-patient’s against, some malignant wound medical events have been solved under the pressure of the media, but some biased reports still exist, which not act the role to improve the doctor-patient relationship but produce the bad social impact to deteriorate the doctor-patient relationship. In the mediated society, people perceive the current situation of the doctor-patient relationship mainly through the relative news reports, and gradually form a subjective recognition. However, especially the doctor-patient conflict news can attract audience’s attention, stimulate the audience’s nerves, and affect the audience’s cognition. Based on the above facts, this paper researches the news about doctor-patient conflicts of China Youth Daily from 2001 to 2014,and apply a method of quantitative and qualitative to study the text of doctor-patient conflict news, analyzes the features of this kind of news reports, and combined with the current situation of doctor-patient relationship, analyzes the interactive relationship about doctors and patients’ violet inflicts which is between objective reality, media reality, and the reality of the audience’s cognition,. What’s more, this paper studies how the media influence effect on the cognition and attitude of the audience from the doctor-patient relationship, and combined with the objective reality of doctor-patient relationship, namely, the current situation of medical resources allocation in China, and the survey from health sector and so on, explores the reasons of doctor-patient violence and it’s solutions.This paper is mainly divided into four parts. The first part mainly depicts the research backgrounds, research status, the way of it’s thinking and technical route. The second part focuses on the framework analysis of the news reports about doctor-patient conflict, which is mainly through the issue, the sources of news, the reports’ position, the media tendency and some other dimensions to build the project. Then, using the quantitative statistical analysis to draw the conclusion:the issues of doctor-patient conflicts reports are lack of follow-up reports, source selection of news deviate mighty, media expression is impartial imbalance which is lack of the side of patients’ position, and the media tend to blame the original sin for system theory and cultural theory of imputation. The third part analyses the current situation of doctor-patient under the news of doctors and patients’ conflicts, it’s influential factors, and the influence between the doctor-patient conflict news and the doctor-patient relationship. Firstly, its current situation is that the medical system exists defects, the image of medical staff is full of paradoxes, the doctor-patient communication exists crisis of confidence. Secondly, the influential factors is owing to the lacking of medical resources and uneven distribution, the consumers’ cognitive model of doctor-patient relationship, and the strange doctor-patient culture circle where patients are weak than doctors. Thirdly, the impact on doctor-patient conflict news against the relationship between doctors and patients is that it leads the stereotype of audience treat the doctor-patient relationship, the adverse exemplary in conflict behavior, and the powerful influence of new media on the typical events. The last part mainly states the aspects and techniques of the issues of doctor-patient news reports:insisting on unifying the reporting concept of essential and true facts, balancing the reports position, expanding the news sources, paying attention to the role of new media, following the subsequent reports on time, building the long-term effective reports system, and making full use of new media reasonably.
