With the continuous increase of China’s national reading rate and the rise of the demand for online social media, there sprung up a batch of reading communities, which were deeply loved by book addicts. Reading community is a new kind of information sharing platform, where reading addicts converge at. It bring together the most direct and detailed evaluation and discussion from readers, which is valuable for press or booksellers. The big data are undoubtedly a very precious wealth. Traditional publishing industry chain only involves the upstream of the press and printing plant, middle reaches of large wholesale bookstore, downstream of the small and medium-sized retail bookstores. Since the advent of electronic commerce, who occupy part of the market share of the middle and lower reaches of the publishing industry chain, the reform of traditional publishing industry chain has quietly taken place.Now with the appearance of online reading community,a new pattern of publishing industry chain is turning up. First, reading community has changed the process of content choose and design of the publishing market. It minimizes the publisher’s control over the book market, with tendency of topic choosing by the author, or even by a reader. Because the reading community gathers a large number of reading addicts, and these users is the target consumer group of the book market. community members post comments and recommendations from which authors, publishers and booksellers may quickly grasp the user’s reading preferences, and by which authors could get a clue on book themes and contents. All in all, Reading Community provides a most realistic and comprehensive big data of books. Second, Reading Community has changed the publishing marketing process. It is convenient for readers to share book information and reading lists at any time and at any place. Such platforms generally have both a web and a mobile version, which could best meet the modern people’s reading habits.usually also operates web version and mobile client version, to meet the modern reading habits. In addition, in order to meet the user’s sharing and social needs, reading communities usually have cooperation with multiple social platform, which allows the writing and books in these communities be forwarded or commented on. Some reading community itself also has the function of sharing and interacting. In this case,readers are the ones who help books expand influence.Finally, it has brought additional service and new profit point to the book publishing industry. More and more reading community has began its own self-publishing business. Some reading community create their own e-book library, or purchase e-books copyright, or sign with writers who write books or essays on their website. Some platforms also involve in publishing the paper books. With the popularity of its reading community, they launched a large number of best-selling books. Moreover, some reading communities also offer the author’s photo and signature on books, T-shirts with painting related to books, and sometimes the tickets of author’s reading Sharon,etc., which expand the business scope of the book publishing, and create a new revenue growth point for book publishing. This thesis will connect the related subjects such as marketing, publishing and digital technology theory, combining domestic and foreign researches on this area by scholars and industry elites. Through the analysis of some specific reading community development model, the writer wants to explore the problems existed in the publishing industry chain and the possible structure of the publishing industry chain in the future under the influence of reading community.
