Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of computer technology, virtual instrument is becoming a trend in Measurement and Control. Lab VIEW, developed by NI, is the most common system used in virtual instrument development.For the time being, most data acquisition software based on Lab VIEW are built without modern software develop techniques. This absence of reusable programming design causes the loss of versatility and scalability.This paper developed a data acquisition software system for general usage. This system can effectively meets the diversification of demand in the course of publication and implementation of computer software. The system has some benefits like simple and clean software architecture, easy-to-use, good performance and stability and broad scope of application. The system consists of data acquisition module, pre-processing module, data logging module, display module and post-processing module. The system supports display data which are different from the data being logged. This feature makes it possible for user to observe a filtered data while logging the raw data.In addition, user can customize parameters in each module to fit for different scenario. Developer can quickly develop and use a new module as long as the module is following the develop specifications defined in this system.This paper integrates techniques used in modern software developing into programming in LabVIEW. It has been proved that those modern techniques can be fitted well in programming LabVIEW software and, more noteworthy, by this the robustness and scalability are improved, which makes this LabVIEW software can be suitable for many other scenarios of data acquisition.
