With the developing of technology and economy, various instruments are required to accomplish more and more complicated jobs in measuring, monitoring and automatic manufacturing. As a result, the testing cost increases by a wide margin. Meanwhile, with the rapid development of the promotion of integrated circuits and computer technology, measuring instruments are undergoing dramatic changes. Alternatively, a new measure technology that integrates with electronics computer, and network, has been developed named VI (Virtual Instrument). The computer-based measuring devices platform, because of low cost and convenience advantages, has been widely used. For colleges, this instrument is of great value for scientific research and teaching in particular.In this paper, a LabVIEW-based experimented platform for signal (digital, analog or logic) measuring and control is investigated as practice. Accordingly, a minimized system, including a PC, a DSP TMS320LF2407A, and a signal source, is assembled and tested with the technique of serial data transferring. Results indicate that the system for date acquisition, signal processing and transfer, control command output, etc., is functional and reliable as expected.This platform may be used as a basis for further study on different application of signal measuring and control both in lab and in industrial spot.
