With the rapid development of artificial intelligence and the advent of the information age, embedded technology and related equipment would be more and more involved in the field of intelligent transportation systems, in the course of this trend, the extensive distribution of the LED display in intelligent transportation systems is especially striking. Since the end of the last century, the design and manufacturing processes of LED display as well as the engineering application level of LED display are all in constant progress, for the development status of present stage, in the performance of display device and control system aspects, LED display can be widely equipped in the modern intelligent transportation field.Implementation process of intelligent transportation project relates to the installation and debugging system of LED display, mainly including environmental information feedback for a predetermined function in the communication process between control center computer and LED display control system. It also involves the maintenance of the later stage engineering issues, as the LED display generally fixed and installed in the project field, when engineering equipment needs maintenance, or control system procedures need to be updated, project engineering maintenance work will often be inconvenience. During the internship, the engineering projects distributed in different provinces and regions, and generally, road transport communication protocols in different provinces and regions are different. To this end, in the development of different projects, engineering project developers need to analyze different communication protocols and even design and development different LED display control system. At the same time, the main function in the project corresponding to LED display products in different provinces and cities should be generally similar.The main research object of this paper is LED display control system. Firstly,this paper introduces the development status of LED display and the application scenarios, according to the actual demands of the project in the implementation process, then puts forward to adopt implementation of the program which based on serial bootloader plan in order to achieve the upgrading of application procedures for the installed LED display in field, in addition,by analyzing the structure of MQX and the portability of its components,the thesis develop a program on software reuse to improve software development efficiency. Following paragraph discuss the software design based on MQX RTOS, giving out the examples of LED display projects during the internship and debating how to use development tools IAR when combined with MQX.
