Commonly control system of full-color LED display uses computer as video source. In some applications, computer does not fit as video source, as cost and size of control system are considered. This paper designed a low cost and simplified control system using embedded processor as video source.The control system this paper designed is composed of sending card and receiving card. The processor of AMD's Au1200 is integrated into sending card to play media files and provide digital image. FPGA is used as main control chip to realize image data transferring from sending card to receiving card and LED screen driving by receiving card.Test results show that the control system designed by this paper works well.
