With the development of electronics technology and computer technology, miniaturized and embedded system has been more and more the development direction and design standard of portable radar in nowadays. Hand-held Through-the wall radar is just a representative equipment in this scope.This paper is designd under above background, points to research and application of sub-system of the hand-held radar, which is called Embedded Display&Control System. Designing of Display&Control System is a systemic working, which includes such works as:1. System design. The main works in this part include system function analyzation, hardware index design, data transfer interface design, and hardware and software platform design. After all above, also build the cross compile environment to complete the first state's working.2. Software design of Display&Control System. The main works include software process design, software structure design and realization of each Sub-interface. In this part, lots of functional models have been designd, such as data receiving, data processing, compositive information display, soft-keyboard input, configuration files config and data retention and recall functions.3. Data transfer program design and arithmetic transplant. Include serial port and net port data transfer program design; and also arithmetic transplant which is called Moving Target Detection and Tracking.4. Operation system (OS) customization. The main works in this part include Linux Kernel customization,window system customization, making of least root file system Bash transplant, and Qt and font library transplant.5. Display&Control System verification. Include verification of software, data transfer program, arithmetic, custom-built OS and root file system.
