Advance In International Management Science Based On Knowledge Mapping

Since human being appeared, followed by the formation of management behavior. Meanwhile, management idea came into being. Both "Scientific Management Principles", wrote by Taylor and "Industrial Management and General Management", wrote by Fayol, as the symbol of the formation of management, and lasted more than one hundred years till today. With the accelerating process of globalization, the world economy faces a huge impact. The management modes and administration concepts of the traditional industrial economy are also facing new challenges. All the scholars in the world are rethinking the traditional management theories and practices and trying to find innovation. Development of international management theory, which led to the rapid improvement of China’s management theory and practice. Advanced technology and scientific management are the two important aspects which can promote the evolution of society and economy of a country. Since the management was introduced to our country from the west world, which has already got a highlighted attention and considerable progress.Against this general background, the Social Science Citation Database (SSCI), which has international certification, as the data sources, and the scientific knowledge mapping method was applied to study the ten kinds of core journals of international management which published from 2004 to 2013. After a series of analysis and interpretation of the international management, a comprehensive, objective quantitative research was implemented in this paper, including literature output in the field of international management, authors, countries / regions, the central institutes, the core journals and periodicals cited issues. Furthermore, the multifaceted visual interpretation about the development tendency of international management and significant research directions was also summarized.This paper can be divided into the following five parts:1. Introduction. By describing the background field of international management research, the paper discusses the significance of this, introduces briefly research ideas and content the main research methods and framework.2. Methodology. First, it overviews the basic theory and analysis process of knowledge mapping, then introduces the statistical and knowledge mapping software which this article used, And describes the source and pretreatment of the data.3. Based on the theories such as bibilmetrics, co-word analysis and social network analysis, and the data from Science Citation Database (SSCI).The third part uses the software CiteSpace to analyzes on the international management research literature of the last ten years, by the core national/regional, the core institutions, the core journals and cited literature of the management discipline.4. The fourth part is the analysis of the topics of the international management discipline. This part uses the high-frequency words worked before by cluster analysis, analyzes the relationship and drawing the Strategic Diagram, and achieve 10 research topics in the field of international management discipline, as well as the degree of maturity and joint degrees of them.5. The fifth part is the conclusion. This part gives the main conclusions, research contributions, limitations as well as the possible further research direction.
