As the most mainstream field of communication research,communication effect research has completed a rich theoretical accumulation and disciplinary research experience over age.In the development course of communication effect research,The subject knowledge is increasingly diversified and complicated under the background of the investment of research forces and the development of media technology,the prospect and direction of its future development have also caused the attention of many scholars.However,with the advent of the era of new media,it is difficult for the research on communication effect to be deeply integrated in various disciplines.The relatively closed research area,research methods and research topics lead to the status quo of "not seeing the forest for the trees" in the research on communication effect in different disciplines.In order to reveal the development of the communication effect research under the new media age,clarify their disciplines,clear its cutting-edge trends,this paper will combine the knowledge map visualization analysis method and content analysis method,through the communication effect research under the new media sphere in China 20 years in the field of main academic papers published in the bibliometrics and content analysis,in order to display in the context of the new media communication effect research in different disciplines in the context of knowledge pedigree,subject context and the hot trend.Based on the relevant research literature data in the core journals of CNKI database from 2000 to 2020,this paper studies the following three parts:First of all,the basic status of the current communication effect research is sorted out through the review of the existing research.In order to understand the basic status of the research on the communication effect of new media in China,based on the knowledge graph theory,this paper makes a descriptive analysis of the distribution of highly cited journals,the annual volume of publications,research subjects and their cooperative relationships with scientific bibliometrics.The main findings are as follows:(1)In terms of the development trend of the discipline,the research on the communication effect of new media from the perspective of new media in China has experienced three stages of development since 2000,namely,the germination stage,the diffusion stage and the interdisciplinary integration stage.(2)At the research subject level,journalism and communication journals are still the leading position of communication effect research,and communication scholars are the main authors in the current communication effect research,but the cooperation is weak.In recent years,library and information science,management science,publishing science,pedagogy and computer science have become the key fields of interdisciplinary research on communication effect.There is a large "wealth gap" between different regions and institutional levels of research.Secondly,in order to present our new media communication effect under the perspective of research hot topic and trend of discipline front,in this paper,using the CiteSpace and COOC respectively two kinds of knowledge map analysis and visualization tools for common word document keywords,keywords time series analysis,dash forward show word analysis,cluster analysis,strategic coordinate analysis,draw under the new media sphere in China communication effect research field mainly knowledge map.There are found:(1)on the research frontier and hot topics,under the new media sphere in China communication effect research is divided into the theme of the new media form the communication effect of fusion research,media development under the background of the new mainstream media influence research,under the background of media convergence of old and new media communication strategy exploration,information transmission of new media platform influence evaluation research and government affairs five new media research field.The five research topics are not strongly related to each other and have the relative potential of independent development.Finally,in order to complete the text interpretation of the research literature on the communication effect under the perspective of new media in China in the investigation of synchrony,this paper conducts literature interpretation and content analysis from the perspective of ontology and methodology of knowledge genealogy,and describes its academic genealogy.It is found that there are three approaches of ontological research:the discrimination of the formation mode of effect,the sorting of the influencing factors of effect and the investigation of the nature of effect.As for the methodology of communication effect research,the research on the construction of communication effect evaluation system,the application of this field in research methods and the choice of research theory are obviously interdisciplinary,and there are different degrees of"internalization" phenomenon in different disciplines.Through the above studies,this paper reunderstands the development trend of communication effect research under the new media's perspective in China on the whole,combs the current problems in the field of communication effect research,and essentially promotes the development of communication effect research.On the one hand,it expands the application channels of knowledge graph theory and method in the field of communication,enriches the research methods of communication,excavates the development rules of the theoretical paradigm of communication effect research,and promotes the interdisciplinary and integrated development of communication effect research in various fields.On the other hand,in a practical sense,it helps researchers of communication effect to timely discover and reflect on the problems and drawbacks existing in the current research and help them accurately grasp the future trend and research direction.
