It is the most importantto adjust the company’s strategic objectives since the development requirements.Engineering design team is the most important department of OTIS, but it has moreproblems, for example low efficiency, poor quality of the drawings, repetitive workand so on. Engineering design team has to improve the team’s working efficiencyanddevelop the team’s potential to lead the team to fit the development of the company.In order to make that, the team needs to have the process reengineering. Informationtechnology will be the efficient and advance way to the success.This thesis describes the importance of information technology in processreengineering. The process optimize during the process reengineering will base on theseveral information technology method. In this thesis, the study of the layout drawingprocess will be based on the application of information technology, processreengineering and related management knowledge to have the process reengineering.Through customer satisfaction survey understand the problems of department anddetermine method for process reengineering base on root cause analysis. Summaryand discuss the issues of the information technology process reengineering by face toface conference, decide the strategies on problem-solving. Compared the processesand analyze the advantage of the current layout drawing process by using the processreengineering theory on information technical, for example, on the data flow, drawingdesign, information transition and data releasing. Set up a whole layout drawingdesign and management system according to the reengineered layout drawing process.Process reengineering improves the team performance and efficiency and alsoprovides the higher quality service to the customer.
