Empirical Research On Public Library Aged Readers’ Satisfaction Influencing Factors

As a regional information center, service is the foundation of Public library. Now informatization and aging are the current social trends, how to make use of the information resources and social resources carried by Public library and improve the service satisfaction level of aged readers, which is growing lager, it is a problem worthy to be studying.Based on the research on satisfaction and its basic theory, this study puts forwards45preliminary indexes which effects public library aged readers’satisfactions, takes7public libraries in Tianjin as the research objects. Through questionnaire and interview, the paper take a empirical investigation for the aged readers.The spss19.0software is adapted to make extraction and analysis of the factors which influence the public library aged readers satisfaction. The study got five main factors, library collection resources, environment and infrastructure, Librarians’ business level and own quality, aged readers characteristic service, digital services, And then to build the hypothesis model which affects aged public library reader satisfaction factorsBased on the study of the relevant theoretical and empirical research of public library reader satisfaction influencing factors, the study put forward several targeted strategies to improve the public library reader service satisfaction, in five perspectives of improved library collection resources, environment and infrastructure, Librarians’ business level and own quality, aged readers characteristic service, digital services.The study provides more accurate scientific grounds to prompts public library to offer as the older readers more comprehensive and more objective information products and improve the service qualities. This paper provides some corresponding research achievements for service system improvement and mode reform of the public library. This paper also provides several practical ideas of getting social support and the optimization of the vulnerable groups knowledge aid.Above all, this paper has a positive significance for active aging, healthy aging and harmonious society.
