Application Of Workflow Technology In Electric Power Engineering Design Management System

This paper introduces the definition and basic concepts of workflow technology, analyzes main functions and the Workflow Reference Model of workflow management system, and studies the Workflow Foundation (WF) based on Windows platform launched by Microsoft. WF is a development framework; it is designed to quickly realize workflow features in application, used to develop applications consist of series of human-machine interaction. This paper analyses the reference model, components, and workflow creation mode of WF.In the Engineering Project Design and Management Information System, WF is used to design and develop the system, realizing the information management of various types of business process of companies’production and operation. The system is of Browser/Server (B/S) architecture, using ASP.NET as hosts of WF workflow. This paper analyzes the system’s requirement, proposes the overall design and module design. Product Check Process is taken as an example to illustrate the architecture design, the process design, persistence configuration, database design of WF framework, and to show part of the main user interface of the system.
