The WSN (wireless sensor network), briefly speaking, is a serious of techniques which can use modern science to reconstruct those daily or other facilities and realize the interaction and transmission of information among them. Once proposed, with the attention of countries all around the world, the WSN has grown a lot with the help of the development of related techniques, promotion of the state machine and the requirements of the market, and stepped into those fields of physical distribution management, intelligent transportation, environment management, health care and national defense with great achievements and deep revolution.With the help of the WSN platform and research achievements which belongs to the author’s lab, this paper aims to research on the vehicle flow system based on WSN localization algorithm, which can dynamically localize vehicles in the WSN area. Referring to knowledge of intelligent transportation, the author has designed and realized the vehicle flow system to organize those WSN facilities, information of vehicles and supervise the vehicle flow of the area.Basing onthe WSN localization is the distinguishing feature and the prerequisite of reliability and accuracy of the system. Firstly, this paper introduced the WSN localization, compared those different algorithms and listed their advantages and shortcomings, and considering those physical truth of the lab and WSN platform, the author optimized centroid localization algorithm using the thoughts of RSS so that the accuracy and efficiency of the algorithm is satisfying. While entering the step of requirements analysis, based on the situation of the WSN platform and the physical truth of the software and hardware, the author obtain the result of the functional requirements and non-functional requirements and divide each module of the system. Last but not least, using logical framework, physical framework, data framework and development framework, each module of the system was designed in detail and realized by the technique of BAIDUMAP and SSH. The result of complete test has shown that the system itself is satisfying and reliable.
