Based on the scheme of national "Ten-Five" plan and practical situation of development and application of ITS in china, the science and technology department arrange the project of "The R&D and demonstration of the key technology of ITS" , and specially set up 'National ITS Engineer Technology Research Center' in Highway Science Graduate School of The Ministry of Communications.This paper comes into being on this background, and it combines the cooperative project "The Intelligent Public Traffic System" between my tutor and The Ministry of Communications of Dalian, and describes the application of the Software Radio Technology in the ITS communication system in detail. After research and test in a year, I draw some conclusions at last:1,The software radio technology is effective and feasible means which solve multi-systems in existence at the same time in the ITS communication platform.2,Design and realize correlative technologies of the digital receiver of intermediate frequency using the HSP50214B and HSP50210 CMOS chip of America.3, Comparing the applications of FPGA and DSP in the software radio, this paper considers that FPGA must be the support of the software radio Technology in the future.4, Using FPGA to design the frame of the digital receiver of intermediate frequency, and realize several key parts of the digital receiver of intermediate frequency.The content of this paper accords with the direction of current development of science and technology in this field, and have high value of practicality. The design scheme of this paper has comparative value of theory and meaning of practice, and the design frame and hardware can become the favorable base of future work.
