Mobile communication market in China is currently in a concomitant network era of2G,3Gand4G,China mobile,china unicom and china telecom three telecommunication operators isincreasingly fierce, especially in nowadays, after the end of2013,4G licensing,communications network subsequently increase of quantities of construction, fast and well tocomplete the mobile communication network construction is the first condition of operators to winthe market opportunities. How to coordinate construction resources, how to better meet theconstruction schedule, construction quality control and construction costs, become the importantsubject in the construction of the network engineering. All of these are precisely the contents of theresearch to project management.In this article, through the project management related theory and method of research, take116base station of a city in Fujian province in the first expansion phase of4G in2014as anexample, combined with years of construction and management experience, the author emphasison project management theory and method in the communication engineering application way andthe problems in the process of construction. Through the application of project managementknowledge, to coordinate the various resources, arrange the work reasonably,formulate theconstruction plan for the need of the project, and discusses the traditional project managementtools used in project practice in the age of the cloud.In this case, the main applied to project management of the project schedule managementWBS (Work Breakdown Structures, Work Breakdown structure) and CPM (Critical Path Method,the Critical Path Method) tools and methods, such as the impact on the main base stationconstruction schedule problem analysis, and aimed at the problems with the aid of sometechnological tools were studied. In practice, first has carried on the plan of the project, theconstruction of base stations project activities are decomposed, the activities of the time limit for aproject to estimate,determine the project activities of the order,and develop from a single stationto batch to the whole project schedule; And then, the project schedule control are analyzed, andthe application of some methods. In this paper, the research achievements in the construction of Mcompany base station is enforced, the engineering construction progress of base station is larger,and achieved good application effect.
