In the recent years, it is an important and urgent issue that the popularity of the campus network makes how to give full play to the role of networks in the field of digital teaching. The education platform based on Web has become an important part of the digital campus construction; meanwhile, the shareability and reusability of all kinds of digital resources have a decisive role on online education. The method to solve this problem is to build a resource description framework, which makes all coursewares have a common document format and follow a specific framework structure, and then to develop an appropriate application software. From this point of view, this thesis does a research and implementation on learning management system based on the SCORM standard. This thesis first duscusses background and research status of Learning Management System, second it outlines the SCORM standard and describes it in detail from content aggregation model, run-time environment and sequence of navigation. The SCORM standard emphasizes the shareability, remote query fearures and reusability of electronic courseware, meanwhile, the SCORM standard can adjust contents of electronic courseware according to the student’s practices. After that, relying on E-learning teaching platform of Northeastern University, this thesis studys developing techniques about a combination of B/S mode and three-tier structure, then it makes analysis and description from the system requirements and plans. Finally applying all kinds techniques, a learning management system based on the SCORM standard is implemented. This system contains some functions:making coursewarepackage, importing courseware packages, destributing learning resources and learners interacting with learning resources and so on, this series of operations can monitor the learners throughout the learning process and initially realize the learner’s personalized learning. In the end, this thesis analyses application of LMS and security and gives some theoretical improvements about communication. |
