With the popularity of Internet and the development of information in recent years, the software industry of China has a dramatically development. But the software project implementation and management can’t catch up the software industry development. Both requirement managers and developers are worried about the development efficiency and project quality. The unlimited requirement change facing by the project, the impractical plan and estimation, the unstable staff and the technique problems lead to the software project risks. The failed software project causes significant loses and it makes the software risk management more and more important.CMMI is a model integration of the software capacity maturity, and is an integrated and extendable basic framework especially aiming at software project. It is widely used in software project development. There are five level models of CMII according to the management maturity. And for the third level, risk management is considered as a process domain. The majority Chinese banks software adopt CMMI standard to manage software development projects and they have already get the second level, third level and even fifth level CMMI certification. The software project risk management is also based on CMMI risk management standard. But only the risk management standard is defined by CMMI while the management method is not concretely defined. This thesis is studying how to merge concrete risk management method to CMMI risk management.Based on a specific bank financial IC card system project, the concrete risk identification and estimation method is embedded into the CMMI risk management model in this thesis. During the identification phase, the questionnaire investigation method based on the check table method is used to identify the risk. During the risk estimation phase, the combination of expert scoring and the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method is adopted. Thereinto, the difference matrix is adopted for risk element weight identification is to calculate the expert scoring result, the normalization is processed as well as the CR of consistency index is verified, this makes the data more precise. Risk influence level is estimated according to the quality, progress and cost aspects, and then the risk element is sequenced based on the risk level. During the risk tracking and solving phase, different solving methods are used based on the risk level.Embedded with the concrete risk analysis method, CMMI risk management frame is utilized by this thesis. Combined with the financial project characteristics, risk management method is studied and it receives favorable result.
