Humanity in the 21 st century,with the further application of the software,the direction of software development is becoming more and more tend to be large and complicated,customer demand for software increasingly strict and even harsh,this directly led to the software development management is becoming more and more multifarious,software research and development projects are often appear delay progress,bug legacy,such as budget is beyond question.According to the data,at the beginning of the 21 st century,nearly $150 billion of software development projects were canceled each year in the United States,and 35 percent of project management was completed by budget.In the face of such poor software development efficiency,the survey concluded that the failure of more than 70%of projects was not caused by technical reasons,but by poor project management.Software project management has been playing an important role in software development.This article has summarized the CMMI process areas in the CW company improvement research and application of software project management,the CW company of CMMI level 4 quantitative project management and organizational process performance process area to improve the theoretical basis,in the past three years of 38 key statistical indicators for the data base platform project,puts forward the new challenge target used in pilot projects.In the process of the pilot project,we gradually analyzed the short board of the software development of the CW company and promoted it,and finally made the pilot project basically achieve the expected improvement goal at the beginning of the project.At the same time the CW company run in CMMI process of high grade domain also encountered many problems in the process of improvement,the author analysis the problems encountered in the process of software research and development of quantitative,in order to be effective fixing the problem,using the combination of quantitative analysis of the qualitative data correlation method.Written by the highest sensitivity to expected target demand productivity,coding,coding unit size costs into the defect density,UAT productivity four key subprocesses returning for analysis,found the cause of the performance on the low side,for project personnel returning organized a brainstorming,problem,explosion and other research method to analyze problems,improvement scheme and implement,and improve process capability baseline in the CW company software research and development section.Hardware manufacturing enterprise,the more similar the CW company can also from quantitative process management of CMMI maturity levels higher order to start with optimize the process of specific projects,extends to the improvement of the organization's process performance,makes a similar hardware manufacturing enterprises can in smaller under the burden of human and financial resources to carry out the CMMI software management optimization.
