Research On CMMI-based Software Development Project Management In P CO.

With the increasing number of software development projects, products quality is also becoming more difficult to control with increasing risks. It’s now becoming an industry problem to effectively mange software projects and ensures corresponding quality.CMMI, one of the mainstream software development process improvement models, has been widely recognized by Chinese software enterprises. In nowadays, more and more software companies are starting to adopt CMMI to improve their project management and software quality. In fact, CMMI has now become the de facto project management model for domestic software companies, especially in the qualification process of major projects.However, the promotion of CMMI application is quire complex. The domestic research in this area mostly still on the theoretical level with few live cases. This thesis starts with an introduction to basic CMMI theory, and then continues with its application in P Company. At last, the live case of CMMI adoption in P Company is thoroughly reviewed and elaborated to give a feasible approach for similar domestic companies which also want to benefit from CMMI.
