With the rapid development of network technology and three networks convergence, multimedia conference is becoming a popular high-quality and high-bandwidth application. However, traditional H.323-based multimedia conference systems were difficult to meet the increasingly rich communication demand. Emerging IMS-based multimedia conference systems can not only integrate a variety of communication services such as instant messaging, presence and group management, but also ensure the high-quality end-to-end communication between users with different terminals.To reduce the technology threshold and cost burden for third-party application developers to develop IMS-based multimedia conference system, the multimedia conference capability opening component in integrated service access gateway has been designed and implemented in this paper. The multimedia conference capability opening component is added to the existing integrated service access gateway with upgrading corresponding management module to open up the multimedia conference capability provided by conference AS in IMS through unified and standard interfaces.In this paper, capability opening technologies such as SOA open architecture, Web Services, Parlay/Parlay X and ISAG, and multimedia conference technologies based on ITU-T specifications and IMS, and supporting platform CIN-SCF have been introduced firstly. Then the core functional requirements of multimedia conference capability opening component are introduced through analysis of typical use cases, and the non-functional requirements are also introduced subsequently. The core content of this paper is the summary design and the detailed design and implementation. In the summary design part, the system environment is introduced firstly, then the static structure design of the whole system, dynamic structure design of the interaction between modules, the system database design, and two key problems in system summary design are described in detail. In the detailed design and implementation part, the concrete implementation method of each functional module of multimedia conference capability opening component is described detailedly. Finally, in the system testing part, the test environment, the test cases and the test process including unit testing, integration testing and system testing are introduced based on the method of software testing to verify that the system meets the functional requirements and non-functional requirements. In conclusion, the multimedia conference capability opening component in integrated service access gateway designed and implemented in this paper can open up the multimedia conference capability provided by conference AS in IMS through unified and standard Palay X2.0interfaces, to reduce the technology threshold and cost burden for third-party application developers to develop IMS-based multimedia conference system.
