The traditional intelligent network can't open the capability of telecom networks to the third party, because of its close technology architecture, special services developing mode and so on. Openness is one of the evolution directions of telecom networks.Open Services Architecture has been highly highlighted in the research field. It defines an open service interface set which enables third party services providers to develop services easily. This new service providing model will bring new types of services and applications in the next generation network.Parlay/OSA provides a set of open API independent of network which are abstraction and encapsulation of the network resources. Theses API enable service providers to develop transplantable and network independent application without knowing the details of the telecom network. In order to take advantage of Internet which is widely used, Parlay X API which combines Parlay and Web Services is brought forward.Services Access Gateway(SAG) takes the example by the conception of Parlay X APIs and bases on the existing intelligent network service platform, providing APIs of Multimedia short message, Location-based Services,Multimedia Conference, Third Party Call and etc. In a word, the development of value-added services is becoming convenient by making use of SAG.Researching in technologies of network openness and IN solutions, the dissertation brings forward the open IN service architecture which supporting Parlay X API.
