Research And Implementation On DTV Network Management Based On Corba

Digital TV industry has developed rapidly in recent years. Digital TV network is becoming more and more complex.The performance of the network management system must be improved inthis situation.The emerging of advanced managing mechanism and technologies, provides a better technical support for digital TV network management system and the development of digital TV industry.This research subject designs a DTV network management system using CORBA as a middleware,based on the analysis of digital TV system. CORBA middleware is mainly used as communication bridge between the server and the client. The data transmitted in middleware is XML byte stream. This paper puts forward the detailed design of Corba middleware and XML serialization module based on the actual demand of network management system.The paper first introduces the background of the subject and the principle of related technologies in network management system. Next it analyzes the overall architecture of the network management system and the functional requirements of CORBA middleware.This paper puts forward the implementation of CORBA Middleware and gives the realization of XML serialization module in detail at the same time, because the main data type transfer in the IDL interface is byte stream based on XML.Then,it puts forward the implementation scheme of some functions in alarm management moudle and equipment topology moudle,include alarm monitoring,the definition of alarm type,equipment topology. Finally, the network management system is proved reliable and efficient through testing and the paper gives suggestions for improvement.The design and implementation of this project have been completed and have passed the test.The network management system works well in the real network environment.
