As the basic network of Telecom., optical transportation network has come through Plesiochronous Digital Hierarchy, Synchronous Digital Hierarchy, Wave Division Multiplexing and Dense Wave Division Multiplexing. It is necessary to integrate Optical transportation network into other telecom, service so that the Data Service can be transported through optical transportation network, and it is feasible to develop the Optical transportation network integrated management system based on multi-service and multi-vendor.This thesis is supported by the optical transportation network integrated management system project of ZTE, which is developed for Telecom, service provider. First of all, the necessity of using CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) technology is analyzed in the thesis; then, it is pointed out that the principal question is the interface of EML (element management level) and NML (network management level), which is the adapter; at last, for the key techno-analyze, CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture) and MSTP (Multi-Service Transport Platform) are recommended and expounded. In the main body of the thesis, based on the requirement analyzed, the Adapter Model based on CORBA is introduced, and the adapter is designed from many ways such as level module, disposal module, thread model, data structure model. In addition, the management flow, initialization process and the state transformation for the order of adapter are described. Finally, the adapter is actualized. Now this system has already passed the product test, and has been applied by telecom, service provider.
