Design And Implementation Of Network Management System Based On Web And CORBA

With the rapid development of computer and network technology, how to manage the complicated network is very import. Traditional network management model can't satisfy some today's network management demands such as better operability, visibility and real-time characters. It's the necessary trend to realize distributed network management based on Web.After we study the shortcomings of traditional network management, The main works of this paper are:(1) New network management architecture based on Web and CORBA notification Service with TCP push technology is proposed in this paper, which combines with web technology, network management technology and distributed technology. Network manager can access and manage any node in network expediently and rapidly by any Web browser through the network management architecture. This architecture is not two layers manage structure of Manager-agent. It is three layers manage structure which is made up of Web browser, application layer and device layer. Application layer is composed of Web server and CORBA server. This architecture changes the passive status of Web server, it realizes network management actively. (2) It realizes control accessing through adopting filter mechanism of accessing network resource and user-defined rules of user accessing. (3) It implements the functions of topology management, performance management, default management, security management, filter management and configure management.The shortcomings of traditional network management such as the running bottleneck of network management host and network management accessing limited by section is solved effectively by this system. The efficiency, quality and level of network management are improved greatly.This system can widely be used in many units such as military affairs, communication and government etc. It has immense economics benefit and society benefit.
