Research And Design Of Integrated Network Management System Based On CORBA

As rapidly developing of computer network technologies, computer network management plays an important role in network monitoring and control. With increasingly growth of network scale and complexity and with development of network services, integrated network management system is seriously required. To design a system that can hide the differences of network inside and can integrate different type network management subsystem is a necessary trendency.This thesis focuses on researching the policies of CORBA_based network management according to modern network management needs. First,it briefly introduces the basic network management and SNMP theories ,and then analyzes the mechanisms of TCP/IP_based network management architecture standard SNMP .Second, it introduces CORBA specifications and JIDM to design CORBA_based integrated network management system based on CORBA object_oriented distributed computing environment and the mechanisms of software bus and JIDM. The network management system which this thesis designs uses laser design model and integrates network management system based on management functions and hides the differences of network inside with CORBA specifications.In addition to, CORBA/SNMP translation gateway that implement conversion function between CORBA and SNMP has been designed and implemented, it includes implemention of SNMP protocols that support SNMPv3, SNMPv2 and SNMPv1.
