Currently,with the sharp increase of transmission bandwidth and the amount of datawhich are necessary to the relevant application such as spacecraft telemetry,high rate of datatransmission characteristics and large mass storage capabilities are required in correspondingdata transmission system. Therefore it can meet the demand of data,information,andinstruction processing in some application fields. And this research subject derives fromengineering project on radar test system which has the actual requirement for high-speed,large-capacity cache and stable data transmission.For the high speed and stable data transmission between IF digital receiver of radar testsystem and the host computer,this dissertation designs a kind of high-speed multi-channeldata transmission system based on FPGA by conducting research and analysis on the currentavailable data transmission technology. Kintex-7series FPGA is served as the core controllerof the data transmission system,and in accordance with the data interface of IF digitalreceiver,the communication of receiving and transmitting data between data transmissionsystem and IF digital receiver is achieved through its logic control of the8-channel LVDSinterface circuitry. In order to meet the requirement of data transmission high-capacity datacache of DDR3SDRAM is realized by MIG controller. Meanwhile the high-speedcommunication between data transmission system and computer is achieved through using IPCore embedded in Kintex-7series FPGA,which completes data transmission by DMA bus. Inthis paper each functional module hardware design of the transmission system and FPGAcontrol logic design is introduced in detail. Meanwhile the performance of the designed datatransmission system is tested and validated by computer applications,ChipScope softwareand specific software of data file analysis. And finally the high-speed multi-channel datatransmission system is designed and implemented.As a result,it shows that the designed data transmission system operates well and thetransmission rates of receiving and transmitting data are able to reach1000MB/s,which meetsthe technical requirement for high-speed,large-capacity cache and stable data transmission in radar test system and is of high practical value.
