With the development of the distributed test system,for the improvement of theperformance of the equipment, the test data of high speed, large capacity, which needs to befast, reliable and real-time data transmission over a long distance. For this problem, this papydesigns a kind of high speed data real-time transmission system, which are based on PCI bustechnology, LVDS interface technology.The subject is a component in project. On the basis of analyzing the specification andtechnical index, design the system general scheme, the application of PCI bus technology,ping-pong buffer technology, LVDS signal technology, DMA data transmission technology.In the hardware design part, we mainly describe the system function module, highperformance FPGA, which is adopted to accomplish the transmission control module, whichcontains LVDS interface control, data reorganization, transformation of the clock, with twopieces of SDRAM memory chip to realize the ping-pong buffer, the PCI interface control, etc.Using PCI9054chip as the PCI bus controller to realize high speed data transmissionbetween the card and the upper machine. In the software design part, combined with the datareading process, the system adopts driver software of DriverStudio to complie PCI devicedriver, and introduces the driver development process to realize requirement of the hardwareinterrupt request response, and data transmission etc. Using VC6.0environment to completethe corresponding application development and realize relevant functions of the statuscommand to generate, read status, data analysis and processing etc.In the end of the thesis, the transmission system of PCI give us the result of test processand data analysis. The test results show that the transmission system of PCI has basicallycompleted the design parameters requirement. In the measurement and control applications,they will pay more attention to LVDS interface, high-speed real-time data transmissionsystem research, which based on PCI bus technolog.
