With the continuous improvement of living standards, people’s basic necessities of life on their own have a higher awareness, especially to have extra attention, eat healthy has been the pursuit of people; and promote the rapid development of the trend of the catering industry, catering and the competition between enterprises is becoming more and more intense; however, there are a lot of catering enterprises have adopted the traditional work mode, only by artificial to management, from the storage of raw materials, and then to the guests consumption settlement, by the basic enterprise staff manual operation to complete. In this way, not only consume large amounts of human resources and the frequent data entry errors or enter duplicate the phenomenon is particularly troublesome, query, also caused the low level of management, so that the competitiveness of enterprises has become low.The computer industry in the rapid development, if the information using the computer program management, will greatly enhance the efficiency of enterprise staffs work, provides the comprehensive competitive power; therefore, the topic is making a catering management system, mainly including, menu management, order management, table management, consumption records management, supplier management, user feedback management function module. The system uses JSP as a development language, Eclipse as a development tool, using SQL SERVER2005as the data storage, system design follows the software engineering development model, to ensure the good operation of the system, data stability, security.Through the implementation of the hotel management system, it can greatly reduce the storage of raw materials, table reservations, the dinner guests, consumption settlement links of human work, improving the efficiency and accuracy of data, as well as the competitiveness of the hotel.
