As a practical management technique, Project Management has penetrated into all areas of enterprise. The use of project management technique to systematically manage enterprise affairs has a great significance to improve the level of enterprise management. Schedule management is one of the main areas of project management, which has a direct relationship to the project’s success or failure. As an important way to achieve product upgrading and enhance the competitiveness of enterprise, innovation project has played a huge role to further enhance the strength of Baosteel and help Baosteel become one of the world’s leading steel companies. If schedule management could be integrated into innovation project, no doubt, it would help complete project in timely manners.Schedule management requires the project team to develop scheduled plan based on the objectives of the project, during the process of implementation, actual implementation of scheduled plan needs to be checked on regular basis, the reasons for the deviation need to be analyzed and scheduled plan needs to be adjusted constantly until the completion and delivery of the project. Based on the above considerations, this paper is dedicated to the study of applying modern management theory and methods in the voice alarm innovation project, to ensure timely completion of projects and achieve project objectives. In this paper, a combination of theory and practice of the method are utilized, by applying the theory and methodology of schedule management in voice alarm innovation project, the analysis and practice have been conducted in planning, implementation and control during the process of implementing project. Schedule management is discussed through development of scheduled plan and control of project schedule. During the process of project implementation, by using project schedule management knowledge, developing scheduled plan, tracking the progress of implementation and using all possible ways and measures to adjust the project schedule and shorten the construction period, the project’s planned duration could be managed within the pre-determined target. I hope this paper could provide reference for other innovation projects in future.
